Transport
There is a well-equipped Library. This includes a range of encyclopaedias reference books classics and present-day fiction. These are extremely useful in helping students with reference projects, deemed mandatory by the CICSE. A plethora of Indian and international books and periodicals are available to help students keep abreast of current affairs.
VARIOUS HOUSES SYSTEM
Education, if not incorporated with co-curricular activities, cannot be considered workable and complete.
The Classes of the School are divided into different Houses and Sports, Games, Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities are carried out on an Inter House-basis. Monitorial System headed by the four main office bearers: The Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl to assist the staff in maintaining discipline while the four Houses Captains help to see that the sports and extra-curricular Programmes as institute calendar is followed according to the academic calendar and maximum pupils of the Houses participate.
For a healthy learning environment in the school all the students interact vertically in four houses. We believe that all our students are akin to gems and hence the houses that the children have been allotted are names of precious stones.
The four houses are
EMERALD
is the sacred stone of Goddess Venus and denotes great harmony, wisdom and love.
Motto : Harmony and Progress.
RUBY
is considered the symbol of love, friendship, vitality and royalty.
Motto : Courage and Passion
SAPPHIRE
is a symbol of heaven and joyful devotion to God and clears the mind of negative thoughts.
Motto : Sincerity and Faithfulness
TOPAZ
promotes individuality, self-confidence, creativity and forgiveness.
Motto : Truth and Forgiveness
Whenever possible, pupils are offered the opportunity and encouraged to participate in extramural competitions.
The school also hosts Annual School Competitions, known as CCA/ECA With all these co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, we feel that apart from striving for high standards of excellence in academics, it is necessary to impart a strong sense of personal integrity and the fundamental human values in order to equip them with the qualities they would need to be matured and responsible citizens of India's secular democracy.
Keeping this in mind we have made AIS a happy, friendly place and not a place where children feel alienated, bored, hurt, persecuted or threatened. We strongly believe that children are important people worthy of respect and our School should be a place which facilitates, fosters and nurtures children's learning.
